Spring Season, 2012 - Ben joins the game

 After years of watching his older brother and sister run the fields at our local YMCA, Benny finally got his very own Jersey and his very own team, the Animals! He could hardly wait for his first soccer practice. He was so cute in his over sized soccer clothes and at his first soccer practice, when they handed out the uniforms, he ran to me with the biggest smile on his face and shouted, "I got my own socks!!!" Never before have a pair of socks been the cause of such great joy.

His first game started a little rocky but he got into the swing of things. While he wasn't the... um... most skilled player on the field, I would definitely make the case that he was having the most fun. He almost always has a huge grin on his face as he ran all over the field. Not always in the direction of the ball but oh well;)

All in all, he had a great season and was thrilled to receive a medal and certificate for the "best ball control" from coach Jason, at the end of the season party. Way to go Benny!

 

 Audrey had another great season. She was on the same team but with the new blue jerseys, they changed their name to the Bluebonnets. This was their last season on the smaller fields and they were definitely the toughest, cutest team on the fields. They won every game and are ready to move up to the big field next fall.
