Happy Birthday, Boo!

Our sweet, little Andrew (or "Boo", as we usually call him) is one! He is such a joy and a blessing in our family. His siblings absolutely adore him and so do Keith and I. He continues to look more and more like his Dad every day and nothing could make Keith happier! 

Boo finally decided to crawl at about 10 1/2 months. You can imagine his big bothers and sister's delight when he did. Not long after he was climbing the stairs and getting into all kinds of trouble. He really is still such a great baby though and whatever trouble he causes is minor. He is starting to eat table foods but really still prefers baby food. Luckily for him, he is my baby and I will let him hold on to that a little longer so he can stay a baby as long as possible. 

At one year, Andrew is 21.2 lbs (27%) and 31 inches (84 %). Either he had a bit of a growth spurt right before his appointment or the nurse measured wrong. I don't think any of our children have ever had that high of a percentile for height. I am sure he will level out right around the 20th percentile, like his big brothers. 

Kim and the girls were coming out just a couple of days after Andrew's birthday so we held off on the cake until they were here to celebrate with us. We couldn't let his birthday pass without some kind of treat with a candle in it so we bought some donuts and used one in place of a cake. He didn't seem to mind one bit! After donuts it was time for gifts. As you can see, he had no shortage of help to get them opened. 

He was a little unsure of his cake at first but once he got a taste, he managed just fine. We had a great time celebrating the last, 1st birthday we will ever have for one of our children. We couldn't have asked for a sweeter caboose though. Happy birthday, Boo!
