We love our Benny so much that we just had to celebrate his 2nd birthday twice!
At 2, Ben has without question entered into the terrible twos. He has a scream that can pierce the eardrums and drive any well intending Mother crazy. He has a fiery little temper and isn't afraid to use it and I swear, his daily goal is to find as much trouble as he can and escape from me at any cost. That being said, Ben is still one the most likable little two year olds that I know. He is handsome and charming, funny and energetic and gives us so much love.
Ben has become obsessed with choo-choo trains and asks to watch Thomas & Friends every day. He loves to swim and has absolutely no fear of the water. He loves to tackle anyone who looks like a good target and does a mean chest-bump. He is talking more and more everyday and is known to say, "Aw Man!" (a-la Swiper the Fox) when he drops something or falls or just for fun. Ben has evened out when it comes to his size. He is just about 28 pounds (40th percentile) and 33 1/4 inches tall (20th percentile). Most of his lack in weight gain I attribute to his constant movement and his love of throwing his food to the dog. On a related note, Charlie has gained about 7 pounds over the last year.
We were in Utah just before Ben's birthday this year so we decided to have a little party there with some family. Ben had so much fun playing and eating cake and ice cream. He and Madison (following Mary's lead) decided to ditch their utensils and eat with their faces instead. It was too funny to watch so we just let them get nice and messy. Afterward, we gave them a nice hosing off in the baby pool.

We celebrated Ben's actual birthday at home with another cake and some ice cream. It didn't take long for Ben to put down his spoon and pick up the plate and since it was his birthday, we let him eat it however he wanted. After we bathed our sticky two year old, Sam and Audrey were dying to give him the gifts they had helped me pick out. Of course, all choo-choos. Happy Birthday, Ben! We love you!!!

We love "Baby Ben!" Isabelle always helps Olivia call him when she plays with her phone! Maybe someday?????
