We decided that we needed one last bit of fun before the school year started up again so we packed up the car and headed to Great Wolf Lodge. We had heard wonderful things about it but hadn't actually been there ourselves. For those of you who don't know, it is a camping themed hotel with an indoor water park. Pretty awesome. Just driving up to the hotel, the kids could tell it was going to be a lot of fun.
Our hotel room had a separate cabin area for the kids with a set of bunk beds and their own TV. That was exciting enough for them but then we headed down to the water park and they were amazed. There was a wave pool, a lazy river, water slides with tubes and without, a giant bucket that poured out giant amounts of water and a big toddler area with lots of fun stuff to play with too. We spent the entire afternoon there the first day then all morning and well into the afternoon the next day. It really was so much fun. Andrew did pretty well with it all. He grabbed naps when he could, mostly on Daddy's shoulder.
Since we were just outside of Dallas, we decided to swing by and spend the night with the Manos for some cousin time. It was short but sweet and before we knew it we were back on the road to San Antonio. The kids are already asking when we get to go back again!
